Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Many think that well if they sin then maybe things won't work out for them as well as they might have hoped or something like that. Sin brings death not inconvenience. The modern false-christian sin cults are just fooling themselves.
It truly was sin that brought death upon mankind.
Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all
ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 ¶ Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath
shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly
seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and
Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were
thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was
darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to
corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own
hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the
creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women
did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in
their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and
receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them
over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness,
maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil
things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection,
implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are
worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
All have sin in their past but the Bible is clearly not making excuses for sin as many false-christian cults would teach you.
Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by
sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from
the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might
destroy the works of the devil.
9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him:
and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
So think about this; are the preachers that teach you that you must sin every day so get used to it really your friend? Oh sure they can make you feel good, but no man can be an effective con man if he can't make you feel good.
Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey,
his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience
unto righteousness?
17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from
the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for
as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto
iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto
holiness.
20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the
end of those things is death.
22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your
fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through
Jesus Christ our Lord.
Hebrews 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
2 Thessalonians 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
What is this gospel that we are to obey to receive righteousness as a gift from God?
I would be remiss if I taught you about the horrors of sin without giving you the method whereby you can be saved. Can we really know for sure? Yes, if we just look to the Word of God instead of man made religious traditions. We can easily see that Jesus gave the keys to Peter.
Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this
rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever
thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt
loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Then we can read what Peter said to do. So you see that you cannot disobey Peter without rejecting Jesus Christ who sent him.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you
in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the
gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar
off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
If something is for as many as the Lord our God shall call, then that is what you should obey to be safe.
Are the modern false preachers with their sugar coated man made fables really your friend as they scratch your itching ears with "comfortable" anything goes doctrines? Did you know that the Bible mentions them?
2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound
doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers,
having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto
fables.
Are these false christian preachers not bringing death itself to their victims?
