| July 2006 Kisii Kenya, East Africa It was
on Friday afternoon, I and my son Byron and Pastor Joshua Murere boarded a
bus to Kisii a 7 hours drive from Nairobi to Nyanza. The apostolic message
has never been preached to Kisii people; they know nothing or they have
never heard about Acts 2:38 messages. The whole Province is dominated by
Seventh Day Adventist. This denomination is like an inheritance to Kisii
community from their ancestors. This makes it very hard for any other
denomination to access the place. There are just a few others.
We had an opportunity to know one Pastor who had
invited us to go and preach to his small independent group. They meet under
a shade of trees as their sanctuary and actually, we responded very quickly
to such an open door; we did not count the cost. We managed to find and
reach the group of people who love God. I have never been to Kisii before
Kisi is one of the 42 tribes in Kenya. We were warmly welcomed.
The apostolic Jesus Name Gospel started rolling under
the anointing of the Holy Ghost. At times we could find ourselves sitting or
kneeling on the grass as we express a point. The pictures will tell it all.
We had a separate meeting with the group leaders and we taught them the
truth and gave the tracts.
Pastor Joshua Atwori is great man of God with his leadership. They accepted
the apostolic Jesus Name Gospel. We prayed for him and others; and even
baptized some in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins.
Hallelujah!!! We praised the Lord. We are indebted in our spirits to go back
again and baptize the whole congregation in Jesus Name.
